Eileen Byrne is a playwright and actress who portrays eleven characters in the critically acclaimed Running With Coffee, which she recently performed off-Broadway in the United Solo Festival, Theater Row, October, 2025. She also earned a Best Actress nomination for her performance in the 2024 1st Irish Festival. The show was first workshopped and staged for the Br!nk New Play Festival for women playwrights in Milwaukee in September, 2022. Byrne’s other works include "The Middle” at the Playwrights and Artists Festival, Know Theatre, Binghamton, NY, 2024. “The Gettysburg Redress” (poem) Rockford New Words Fest -West Side Show Room, Rockford, IL, January, 2023. “Snowglobal Warming” was performed via Players Theatre/ Zoom, July, 2020. “Wingman” won Best in Show- BooFest, Players Theatre, October, 2019. “Tenants,” was performed in the NYC Fest-Players Theatre, June, 2019. “Allegations” was included at a staged reading, 2nd Act Players/MeToo Festival, Evanston, May, 2018 and The One That’s a Play was performed at Stage 773, Chicago, in March, 2015.

A native of Queens, New York, Eileen Byrne is a graduate of Fordham University as well as a recipient of a Master’s degree from Northwestern University. She plays violin, guitar and piano.
